We stayed here 4 years ago when it was the Apollo and weren't disappointed on our return this year. Just a 1 night stay to kill a day before getting the ferry back to Newcastle. Fantastic family room with balcony and marina view. Very spacious and comfortable. We ordered a meal via room service which was very good. Hotel bar/reception area has lovely furnishings and nice relaxed vibe. Husband made use of free access to sauna and gym. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Handy for Ijmuiden an Zee beach and less than 10 minutes drive to ferry terminal.

This former Holiday Inn is a nice hotel at an interesting location 5 minute walk from Ymuiden beach, good for watching sea birds and ship travel in and out of the Ymuiden locks. It is a great base for long walks along the wide beach, or on the >2km long south pier or on the paths through the dunes, where interesting remnants of German WW-II bunkers can be explored. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Good buffet breakfast and a variety of restaurants in walking distance. Large (public) parking area along the back of the hotel, with fees covered by hotel.

Unique location, just a little walk away from the beach with cosy beach bars and a sporty vibe with lots of young folks surfing etc. The restaurant Chi Ling offers marvelous authentic Chinese & Mongole food within a very esthetic setting, just a few steps away from the hotel.

All was great. At reception I found a very warm welcome. As I booked 2 rooms they made all possible to have the rooms next to each other. The rooms were clean, laundry was fresh changed. As welcome gift I found bottle of water and tea and coffee. Very nice. Everything we need, the hotel made all to help us or provide. Elevator was silent and well maintained. Good food at restaurant. At the bar I found relaxing atmosphere and proffesional people who knows their job. The balcony was equipped with small table and 2 comfortable chairs. Nice touch especially to wake-up and watch the sun coming over the hills. Definitely I will visit again.

My high rating reflects a stay where I was selected as Guest of the Day so we had a huge corner one bedroom suite with extra amenities. But service was generally good for a one night stop on a month long bike trip. Breakfast was good. Room was great. A secure bike garage was available. A 500 m walk to the beach.

The location was excellent and the hotel was clean comfortable. We had our dogs with us and they were made most welcome. The staff were very helpful.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed here with my dog. I was surprised to find a tennis ball and treats waiting for her in the room. She was SO excited to have them after a long plane ride. It was an extra touch that made the stay special.

I arrived early in the morning and the hotel allows me to check-in early. The staffs were extremely helpful during check-out in the early morning too. I was happy with their services, rooms are clean and fast internet provided.

Nice location for a beach weekend. The have a really good breakfast spread, good quality food and ingredients. Beautiful restaurant. Dog friendly and loved the little touch with the dog bed and a ball in the room.
